A RARE TONI ZUCCHERI " GIADE " Ashtray or Bonboniere, Made by VENINI of Murano, Italy. This piece bears the uncommon 2 line "vibropen" signature that was used between. 1965 - 1970 after which a script signature made by a diamond stylus came into use and is still in use today. Another item from the same series (a 30 cm Vase), is illustrated on Page 180 in the VENINI Catalogue Raisonne, 1921 - 1986, by Anna Venini Diaz de Santillana, and Published by SKIRA. This piece measures 110mm x 45mm, Diameter x Height, the internal decoration is made of copper threads on a coral glass bowl and encased in colourless clear glass using the Sommerso technique.
