Pink bullicante style birds with gold fleck wings and beaks made by Alfredo Barbini for Weil Ceramics in the 60's. The workmanship is incredible and the piece is stunning. The center flower appears to be designed to hold a single candle. The same style piece with blue colored birds can be found in the "Murano Zoo" on page 1 of "Birds by Barbini". (search Murano Zoo on line).
The piece is in truly pristine condition with only a couple of extremely minor wear marks on the base. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
It's very large at just over 14" high and 12 1/2" wide. It weighs 8 lbs 9 ozs.The birds will be double boxed to ensure safe arrival. I'm always open to entertain reasonable offers from sincere buyers. Over the next couple of months I'll be listing my entire Murano glass collection containing over 200 pieces. Some of the glass makers names or companies that are attributed to the collection include: Archimede Seguso, Alfredo Barbini, Cenedese, AVeM, Licio Zanetti, Formia. Jordon Import Company, V Nason, Salviati, Elio Raffaeli, Galliano Ferro, Gabbiani, Andrea Tagliapietra, Mario Poggi.
