Barovier & Toso Murano Graffito Glass Pear Sculpture Paperweight. Documented to Ercole Barovier for the Barovier e Toso Company.

Mid Century modern produced in the later part of the 1960s. Fabulous piece of Italian Art Glass opulent and fine created of the Graffitto Barbaico design and sits on a bottle green glass base. Beautiful paperweight / sculpture of a pear with a black /gold applied glass leaf and stem. The pear is comprised of gold adventurine, infused with laltimo glass ribbon and bullicante pattern called "Graffito".

White draped ribbons of glass in a draped hand over technique. Between these white drapes are controlled. The pear rests of a large water droplet of bottle green glass cut and polished base. No chips or cracks, the steam and leaf are great, there is age related scuffs scratches to base consistent with older pieces. Measures 4-1/2 across, weighs 1.9 pounds.
