RARE Large Light Blue FLAVIO POLI LUIGI MANDRUZZATO Sommerso Murano Glass Vase. FLAVIO POLI - LUIGI MANDRUZZATO - SOMMERSO - Murano Mid Century Modern studio glass vase - faceted and rare cased light or sky blue coloring - unsigned (no label) - Italy - circa 1950's. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, breaks, or repairs - please see the pictures to be your own judge on condition. This piece measurers: top to bottom 6.34 inches Top: 1.34 inches, Bottom 1.34 inches. "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-60s.

The result is a glass with contrasting colors that are commonly cased by a clear layer.
