Rare Luigi Mellara Large Murano Glass Seagulls On Crest 3 Piece 29 Sculpture. This is my late aunt's sculpture. I have other 80's glass that is listed but this is the piece de resistance of her collection. My cousin says she hates it because it always got in the way of a good picture because it was behind us but I love it. She never redecorated till the day she passed and well into 2010 it looked exactly the same. The carpet was pastel pink and blue and the furniture too. This sculpture is very rare and interesting because Mellara didnt really make seagul on crest sculptures.

He was however influenced by his teacher Zanetti.... Oscar (the father) I imagine. Zanetti sculptures with seagulls on crest are easy to find. This sculpture is extremely large when assembled. The sculpture measures approximately 29" in height and 17" from wing to wing at the widest point.

There are nearly no flaws and ive inspected every inch because detail is important. My feedback tells the story. The only flaw i found was a small area of scuffs on the bottom.
