Very Rare MURANO Archimede Seguso BIANCO NERO white/black Glass FANTASY LINE Figurine. ARCHIMEDE SEGUSO - Born: 1909, Murano, Venice, Italy... Spanning a wide range of forms and colors, his subject matter included animals and abstract shapes.... He was part of an illustrious legacy of Italian glassmakers, their ancestry spanning over six centuries to the 14th century....
Seguso notably led a revival of ancient Venetian glass-making techniques, specifically filigrana, which produced lattice-like patterns. Seguso ran the family business Seguso Vetri d'Arte, from 1937 to 1942.
Archimede Seguso Bianco Nero Fantasy Line Series 1950s. Murano Art Glass from Italy. Approximately 3" Tall x 3.5" Long x 2 Wide. There are a few natural imperfections in the glass, air bubbles, bumps, etc. There is a felt pad on the base of the bird. Has no label, But no mistaking the artist however.
