Vintage Caged Glass Lampshade - #1 - beautiful hand blown Murano style. Available here is a beautiful vintage hand-blown caged glass lampshade. These were famously made at Murano in Venice, but similar types were made elsewhere, e. Search the British Pathé account on YouTube for "Glass Lamps (1951)" for a fascinating documentary on how these were manufactured by incredibly skilled craftsmen! There are rather tacky modern machine made repros on the market, but this one is a genuine vintage hand-blown model, with brass metal cage and beautiful translucent milky-white glass. This one comes with a bayonet fitting for a light globe. Shade is hard to measure exactly, dimensions given are approximate. At the time of listing, I have two of these, a larger and a smaller.
