Vintage Italian Carlo Nason Murano Mazzega Light Chandelier, Hand Blown Shades

All five hand blown shades are in great condition with dark amber glass applied to each globe for a dripping caramel effect. Chrome arms extend from a chrome center and dark wooden base. There is slight pitting on the metal (see photos) which is not noticeable from a distance. When lit, the five globes cast a wonderful pattern onto the surrounding area.

As an EU light, it has adapters in each socket to make it US compatible. Pictured here is the chandelier with 40 watt B10 Clear candelabra base bulbs (not included).

It measures 25 across with the globes. Is an Italian glass artist for his use of historical techniques in producing inventive lamps, vases, and sculptures. Born in 1935 in Murano, Italy, his family is one of the island of Murano's oldest glass blowing families. His family involved Nason in the process of glassblowing from a very young age.

The artist continues to live and work in Murano, Italy. Today, his works are in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass and The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
