Vintage MCM Venetian Murano Hand Blown Glass Sitting Clown Figurine J&ED 1950s

This delightful clown is from the Mid Century Modern time period. It is hand made from hand blown glass. It is Murano or Venetian glass that was made in Italy. The body of the clown has multi-colored mottled spots.

He has a blue ruffled collar with a large clear bow that comes down. His arms are clear glass with white hands. The left hand is holding a mottled red ball with a white swirl.

He has clear tails at the back. He has bright yellow hair and large white and black eyes. He has a red nose and a smiling white mouth. His hat is black with a white circle at the front. The red foil label on the center back that is upside down reads Genuine Venetian Glass - J.

Over a globe - Made in Murano Italy. Because this clown is sitting, it is 9" tall x 5" wide at the hands x 5-1/8 deep. It is from the 1950s.

There are not many vintage sitting Murano/Venetian clowns. This clown was out through the years. There is a small flake on the white spiral on the ball that you can see in picture #12. The white medallion on the front of the hat is rough. This can be seen in picture #11.

There are no other chips or cracks. They help with the description. My price reflects the condition. I love to consider reasonable offers. I reuse packing materials when possible to help with recycling.
