The metal frame is in very good overall condition. It does have a bit of patina that shows some age, but not totally rusted like others I have seen. Original screws and nuts, but previous owner added two new nuts to hold the screw in place when you have to open to change the bulb.
A bracket on the light socket has been repaired. Other than that, I have not touched the wiring. I will leave it up to the next owner to decide if they would like to rewire it, but at the moment it works fine and can be immediately connected and used. Please note that these are hand-blown/handmade works of art.
No two are exactly the same. There are minute imperfections in the glass such as bubbles and color variances in each and every one made. There are a couple spots where there are specks of colored glass underneath some clear (pics #9 & #10). I personally own four other older versions of these lanterns in varying shapes and colors and they all have some sort of variance, whether it be in shape, color or design in the glass.
There are no cracks, chips or repairs. There are a couple small scratches. It looks as though it rubbed against something in two tiny spots (pics #11 & #12). Please inspect the pics in detail and feel free to ask me any questions you may have about this lovely piece of Italian craftsmanship.
I try my best to detail and describe all the issues with my items. It is vintage and not in brand new unused condition. I cleaned the glass inside and out, but it probably could use a more thorough detailing. The dimensions are: 18" in height (24.5" with chain and cap) x 10 in diameter.
