Striking vintage 7-piece hand-blown tortoiseshell leopard art glass barware set featuring rich amber-orange, deep brown/black and golden tones. The set includes one large pitcher and six matching tall tumblers. The glass has an especially beautiful layered appearance.
From the exterior, each piece displays saturated amber-orange glass with individually varied dark tortoiseshell/leopard spotting, while the interiors take on a warm golden-cream appearance with the darker pattern visible through the glass. The pitcher features a substantial clear applied glass handle, flared pouring rim and thick clear glass base.Each of the six tumblers displays its own subtle variations in pattern and hand-worked base/finishing characteristics, giving the set the individuality associated with handcrafted art glass. The workmanship and aesthetic are reminiscent of Italian/Murano-style art glass of the late 20th century. The set is unmarked, and no specific maker or Murano/Italian origin is being attributed.
