Seguso Viro Murano Italy LARGE 21 Modern Chalcedony or Calcedonio over light blue glue glass with a cobalt blue base Art Glass Fish Sculpture. Signed on the cobalt blue base "SEGUSO VIRO MURANO", the company founded in 1993 by Giampaolo Seguso (son of Archimede). His sons Gianluca, Pierpaolo and GianAndrea now lead the team which create world renowned glass works from the original Seguso factory. The large fish sculpture measures 21" Tall , 7-1/2" Wide and 4 Deep. The piece is beautifully executed with marbled with brown, blue, green, and yellow swirls in imitation of chalcedony and other banded semiprecious stones.

The heavy cobalt blue base creates a wave effect. The piece is in excellent condition with no damage or noted wear except the usual light scratches to the base which is to be expected given the weight and age of the sculpture. This striking large figural sculpture from Seguso Viro would make a fine addition to any collection of Venetian / Murano art glass or Modernist inspired décor. This piece weighs 10 pounds 15 ounces by itself and I will double box to insure its safety, as well as being fully insured.
