Vintage MURANO Hand Blown Glass CLOWN W HAT FIGURINE Italy SWIRLED MULTI COLORS. Size 9" high x 3 1/8" across side-to-side at widest [feet]. 2.75 deep from front to back. A beautiful hand blown and hand finished Murano glass figurine, most likely produced in the 1960s. He would have had a small silver foil paper MURANO tag which is now long gone.

Features FANTASTIC rich and vivid glass coloration of turquoise blues, oranges, yellows, reds, greens, white, and black. His body and face have a clear glass core with swirled colors INSIDE- amazing in the light. Hand applied facial details, hair, etc of hot glass that was expertly joined on while the piece was still molten hot. A lot of very fine artistry and tiny detailing went into this clown. He's quite heavy and solid, and his wide feet make him extremely difficult to tip over, very secure for standing freely.

Looks incredible when light shines through. Excellent condition, pristine and flawless NO nicks chips scratches/rubs cracks damage or repair, in fantastic shape. No fading to colors- vivid and rich. Smooth pontil mark on the very tip top of his marbled green hat.

Must have been very carefully looked after. Great for a collector - would look charming out on display- especially nice on a windowsill or shelf/tabletop near a window.
